What Pulse is

What Pulse does in Oroe: chat on your own AI key, cited answers from your documents, the editor, usage and where to find each part.

Pulse is Oroe’s AI engine. It runs on your own AI account, using a key you add from a provider such as OpenAI, Anthropic or OpenRouter. It answers from your own documents, with sources you can check, and keeps track of what AI costs you.

Open Pulse at pulse.oroe.ai. You sign in with your Oroe account, so there’s no separate login.

What Pulse does

Part What it’s for Where
Chat Ask questions and get help with writing. Switch on documents mode to answer from your own files, with citations. pulse.oroe.ai/chat
Documents Your document library: upload files, organise them in folders, and read them in the viewer. pulse.oroe.ai/documents
Editor Write documents with an assistant beside you, review its suggestions word by word, then publish or export. pulse.oroe.ai/editor
Settings Add your AI key and choose models, see usage and costs, and decide what Pulse does in your other modules. pulse.oroe.ai/settings

What runs on Pulse

  • Pulse itself. Chat, document answers, document search and the editor’s assistant all use the models set up in Pulse.
  • Tron agents. Tron agents can run on your shared Pulse connection. When they do, Pulse picks the model, applies the spending limits and records the cost. The agent’s tools and rules stay in Tron.
  • AI features in other modules. For example, Cue’s AI website generation and AI form filling send their requests through Pulse. You can switch this analysis off per module in Pulse settings.

The models behind it

Pulse uses your own AI account for chat, the editor’s assistant and other AI features: your key, your billing with the provider. Add a key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, another OpenAI-compatible service, or a self-hosted model. Keys are encrypted and never shown again. See Choose and connect AI models.

Document search is included. Pulse uses a free built-in model to prepare your uploaded documents for searching, so you don’t need a key for that step.

Answers you can check

When you ask about your documents, Pulse answers from them and cites where each point came from. Click a citation to see the passage, then open the full document with that passage highlighted. Pulse also checks what the answer says against its sources, and flags anything it could not verify. If your documents don’t cover the question, it says so rather than guessing. See Cited answers.

Staying in control

  • Usage and budgets. You can see every request, what it cost and which model handled it. Spending limits stop AI work before it goes over budget. See Usage and budgets.
  • Approvals. When a Tron agent wants to do something that affects your business, it asks first unless you’ve allowed it to act on its own. You approve these in Tron.

What Pulse doesn’t do

We’d rather you know up front:

  • Pulse needs your AI key before chat can answer. Until you add one, chat shows Connect your AI model to start chatting.
  • Chat is not a replacement for your other modules. With a model that supports tools, it can read a few things, such as your Cue business details and appointments. Settings → Modules lists exactly what it can read and do in each module. It doesn’t read PinWatch.
  • Scanned pages are read with text recognition (OCR), which can make mistakes on poor scans and doesn’t read handwriting reliably. Check important figures against the original.
  • Pulse doesn’t search the web in its answers.
  • The editor exports to Word, HTML and Markdown, not PDF.
